Privacy Policy
OpenClaw is a private, self-hosted personal AI assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how Google account information is accessed and used when the account owner connects Google services to OpenClaw.
1. Google services used
OpenClaw may access the following Google services:
- Google Calendar — to view calendar information and to create, update or manage events requested by the account owner.
- Gmail — read-only access used to locate and summarize messages for the account owner.
2. How Google user data is used
Google user data is accessed only for functionality explicitly requested by the account owner. Examples include displaying a schedule, creating or changing a calendar event, or answering a question about received email.
Google user data is not used for advertising, marketing, user profiling, credit decisions, or any unrelated purpose.
3. Data sharing
Google user data is not sold to third parties, advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing services.
Access is limited to components required to operate the owner's self-hosted personal assistant and to provide the functionality requested by the owner.
4. Data storage and processing
OpenClaw is operated on infrastructure controlled by the application owner. Google data may be processed as necessary to complete requested actions and may appear in the owner's own assistant conversation or operational history where required for that functionality.
The application does not maintain a separate commercial user database and does not monetize Google user data.
5. Gmail permissions
Gmail access is configured as read-only. OpenClaw does not use this permission to send email, delete messages, archive messages, change labels, or modify read/unread state.
6. Calendar permissions
Calendar permissions may allow OpenClaw to read and modify calendar events so that the account owner can manage a personal calendar through the assistant.
7. Revoking access
The account owner can revoke OpenClaw's Google access at any time through the security and third-party access settings of the associated Google Account.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
